My Challenge is to Run 5 kilometres EVERY DAY FOR 10 DAYS IN 2024

My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...

It pushes me out of my comfort zone, just like Nedd’s journey inspires us all to do. I'm stepping up to this challenge to not only grow personally but also to raise awareness and support for We Are Mobilise, helping people in Australia experiencing homelessness.

Day three challenge

Wednesday 23rd Oct
Hidden Valley Golf Course (home) 5.04km 45mins Fastest km 7.30 Sunset run on my own without a support team, & it ended up being my fasted 5km overall so far. My feet were bandaged up & I didn’t feel any pain. Doing longer stretches before & after runs now.

Day two challenge

Wednesday 23rd Oct
Edwardes Lake Reservoir 5km 46mins Fastest km 7.30 Took a trip down memory lane, where my little athletics days started on this same track. I started at the hottest part of the day 3:30pm with 27degrees. Plus I had the beginning of some blisters on my feet. It was my slowest attempt at 5km, but I pushed through.

Day One Challenge

Sunday 20th Oct
Lake Eildon Pondage 5.37km 42mins Fastest km 7.07 Steady pace for entire 5km with a stop halfway for photo opportunity. Had James do the journey with my following on a bike. Walked slowly back home. Again slowed down my average pace. Legs were sore but not uncomfortable yet.

Practice Day Three

Sunday 20th Oct
Lake Eildon Pondage 5.32km 43mins Fastest 1km 6.59 Ran to pondage & around track with 3 walking breaks. The walk home is a 9m elevation, so it was a bonus 320mts & my cool down. Which reduced my average pace.

Sunday 20th Oct
Hidden Valley Golf Course 5.15km 42mins Rained 80% of the time. Walked with a few runs throughout the course. Missed the turnoff at one point & still managed to shorten distance.
