My Challenge is to Run 21 kilometres EVERY DAY FOR 10 DAYS IN 2024
My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...
I became aware of Nedd and his purpose when moving to Sydney over a year ago. Hearing about his run across Australia truly inspired me and I wished I could have been at Bondi that day to watch him see it home. That's why when I heard about his WR attempt to be the fastest man to run 1000 miles, I knew I would be out there supporting him as much as possible. Over the course of the last week I have run 12kms out to Sydney Olympic Park 4 times to watch this man run laps around a track for hours on end, getting very little sleep and running his body into the ground to try and inspire a nation and raise money for a great cause. Well, I've just got back from watching him run the last lap and I think its safe to say... I'm bloody inspired. It's really given me a new perspective on what I am capable of achieving. For these reasons, I am going to try and run half a marathon every day for ten days, starting this Sunday. Nedd has inspired me to achieve a long term goal of Kayaking unsupported from Bellingen to Sydney over the summer, but due to uni/work/logistics, 21kms a day will have to suffice for now. This will be no easy task however, and I would love more than anything to raise some money for homelessness along the way. Any donations would mean the world to me and could be then difference between someone sleeping rough or under a roof for a night, so anything you can contribute will go a long way. I think what you’re doing is so great and motivational and I’m really inspired by all these cool challenges that you do! I’m completely amazed at where you get the energy to do all of this on top of uni and work too, but to do it for charity as well shows just how good of a person you are and I really look up to you for that, and you’re the best brother I could ever ask for!
