My Challenge is to Run 10 kilometres EVERY DAY FOR 10 DAYS IN 2024
My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...
In my regular training, I incorporate rest days and vary my running routines to stay fresh. However, committing to run 10km every day for 10 days presents both a physical and mental challenge, especially with my full-time job. I often struggle with the monotony of running, which is why I’ll be tackling this challenge with my friend Jack Pullinger (Pully). We’ll hold each other accountable and make the experience more enjoyable. When we set this goal, we initially considered reducing the distance, but then we reflected on the daily struggles of homeless individuals and the resilience they show in the face of adversity. Their fight for survival inspires me to push through discomfort, reminding me that they endure far worse for much longer than just 10 days. To cap it all off, Pully and I will be running a marathon on November 2nd, truly testing our limits and embracing the discomfort.
