My Challenge is to Walk 20 kilometres EVERY DAY FOR 10 DAYS IN 2024

bg my challenge

My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...

It pushes me out of my comfort zone, just like Nedd’s journey inspires us all to do. I'm stepping up to this challenge to not only grow personally but also to raise awareness and support for We Are Mobilise, helping people in Australia experiencing homelessness.

Day 1

Sunday 20th Oct

Day 1 of Nedd Brockmann’s “Uncomfortable Challenge” kicked off with a 20km trek that was far from pleasant. The first 15km were spent dodging flying volleyballs and weaving through sweaty chaos at the Junior Schools Cup—basically a minefield of backpacks, gear bags, and overly-caffeinated parents yelling from the sidelines.

With 5km to go and the courts finally packed up, I took the madness to the Wynnum Esplanade for a night walk. There, I traded the chaos for a dark, quiet stretch along the water. Just me and my sister, the sea breeze, and the distinct sensation of my legs telling me to get stuffed. But I made it, collapsing on a park bench like a true hero. One day down, and I’m already questioning my life choices
