My Challenge is to Run 5 kilometres EVERY DAY FOR 10 DAYS IN 2024

My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...
It pushes me out of my comfort zone, just like Nedd’s journey inspires us all to do. I'm stepping up to this challenge to not only grow personally but also to raise awareness and support for We Are Mobilise, helping people in Australia experiencing homelessness.
My Updates

Day 10 complete
Tuesday 29th Oct Day 10 saw my Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge come to an end. One thing I wanted to achieve was 1x 5km run under 30mins. Left it for the very last run and smashed it I did. 26:51. Left it all out there. How could I not. To everyone that donated I really appreciate the support. Love yas Share
Day 9
Tuesday 29th Oct Very slow today. Shins feel like they're about to snap. Managed to waddle around and get it done 💪 Share
Day 8
Tuesday 29th Oct Day 8 of Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge was a scorcher. Despite the heat I got it done. Even with this damn raw throat Share
Day 7
Saturday 26th Oct Mental battles have begun. Legs are blowing up and bodies feeling weak or is this all in my head to try and make me throw in the towel?! Regardless I WILL finish what I’ve started. Day 7 was off the pace put happy I’m running Share
Day 6
Saturday 26th Oct Couple days behind with my daily blogs. Getting them up to date now. Day 6 saw me back running after a day of walking yesterday. Pace was slower but great to be back running Share
Day 5
Saturday 26th Oct Day 5 saw me walk my 5km for the day as I was told strictly no running by my doctor. Severe case of raw throat possible strep throat. Day 6 will be back at it Share
Day 4
Thursday 24th Oct Although day 4 saw me running a quicker 5km I’m starting to feel every ache and pain. Sickness is getting worse. Started with what I thought was a head cold but now my throat is red raw. Very hard to breathe and swallow. Maybe a chill 5km for day 5 to try get myself right for the second half of the 10 days Share
Day 3
Tuesday 22nd Oct Day 3 of Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge and a solid one at that. Although still suffering the effects of a head cold I managed to knock off 6mins off my day 1 time 💪🏼 Share
Day 2
Monday 21st Oct Day 2 was a real struggle. Woke up fatigued, head cold and by the end of my day dealt with food poisoning. Mentally Challenged today. Dealing with all the above as well as a full days work. Day 3 is a new day 💪🏼 Share
Day 1/10 in the bag.
Sunday 20th Oct Mental strength was todays winner. Been a good while since I’ve ran other than to the fridge and back. Eased into it after the first 1.5kms. The rest was just a matter of blocking everything out and reminding myself the reasons why I signed up for this challenge. Time to rest up ready for tomorrow 💪🏼 Share
Please Help!!
Thursday 17th Oct Yes the personal challenge may seem small but the cause is what’s more important. I’m wanting to do this to prove to myself that despite how I feel physically I can overcome it mentally. My physical and mental health has never been the most important to me but it’s about time I put it first for my wife and kids. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
