My Challenge is to The 10 Hard EVERY DAY FOR 10 DAYS IN 2024

bg my challenge

What is the 10 Hard? Great question

Inspired by the 75 Hard challenge, I want to push myself to change my routine in every aspect for 10 days in 10 different ways

1: exercise twice per day (45 minutes each) with one being outside

2: read 10 pages of a non fiction book

3: no alcohol

4: no fast food/junk food

5: cold showers only

6: take up a new diet

7:  drink 3L of water a day

8: meditate for 10 minutes

9: gratitude diary

10: one random act of kindness a day

My Updates

Best, Worst, most interesting so far

Monday 28th Oct
Best - Generally, feel much better and feel more productive with my days

Worst - missing smaller items in your day like something sweet after dinner or a warm shower

Interesting - the change to my glucose levels whilst having less carbs has been interesting to watch, I'm having more lows but am generally averaging closer to a normal number

Day 3-6

Sunday 27th Oct
We're in the grind of it all, am trying to get a mixture of exercise options going from HIIT to Pilates to attempting to run, i Am exhausted but we power through.

The diet bit is going well, harder on the weekends and requires constant planning plus a lot more food needed to consume to cover the lack of carbs. It has positively affected mu glucose levels as a Type 1 diabetic which has been great to see

Reading has been good but I always leave it late and finally the showers, let;s just say it's only 30 second showers and I need to hype myself

Day 1 and 2

Tuesday 22nd Oct
And let the games begin

Day 1 was a challenge, balancing a drive from 5 hours up the coast meant I had to do a 45 min core workout at 11PM on Sunday night. The cold showers will take some getting used too as well as planning every meal ahead but a good first day

Day 2 was a bit easier, I was able to use my futsal as one of the exercises and thanks to Mum for dropping off a lot of food for my new diet (Low Carb, High Protein). The random act of kindness so far has worked well and it's nice to be reflecting and doing a gratitude diary again.

The only additions I've added is doing 10,000 steps a day and trying to take a photo at least a day of everything going on

Let the planning begin

Monday 9th Sep
I'm only now starting to realise how much I need to fit into 24 hours whilst still balancing my normal life.

I've created a Google spreadsheet to help track everything I need to do in a day and keep me accountable

I've also locked in on a diet which I will need to meal prep big time in order to make this work

Stay tuned.
