My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...

The Mobilise mission is deeply personal to me. It’s a cause that was very close to my late Mum’s heart and for the thousands of people facing homelessness across the country we’ve met, they all deserve opportunities and the chance to live the lives that they deserve.

This is our mission at Mobilise and I’m committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure we can provide as many people with those opportunities as we can. 

This year, I’m stepping into discomfort—not through physical feats, but through stillness & connection. I’m committing to 30 minutes of meditation daily and meeting 10 new strangers a day. It’s a challenge that pushes me to slow down, confront the internal monkey mind, and grow in ways I haven’t before.

Too often we live life in our standard boxes, not getting off the linear path and missing the connections and richness of life. 

This is about tapping into all of that, getting uncomfortable every single day repeatedly and forcing myself to be still in a time of relative chaos (where distracting myself with busyness which I've often tended to do, will always be an option).

Ultimately this is about empowerment, doing something that truly makes me shudder when I think about the week to provide safe housing to those who need it most. 

Last year was the big run but I realised when I thought about it this year that the physical side is more 'comfortable' for me - so I wanted to get off that linear path and truly feel uncomfortable.
